Peter Cameron
President​
Peter is President of Community Wealth Co-operative. He was the Ontario Co-operative Association (OCA) Co-operative Development Manager from 2011 to 2023, where he provided consulting and advisory services to both new and existing co-operatives. He was on the founding Board of Silverwood Housing Co-op. Since 2023, he went into semi-retirement, and now works with Home Opportunities and Community Wealth Co-operative to develop a Co-operative Home Ownership sector in Ontario and Canada wide.Â
Robert Lem
Director
Robert has been working in accounting teams of financial firms trust companies and mutual fund firms for over 10 years.
He is a licensed life and health insurance broker and has been providing financial planning information and advice since 2010. He has been a dedicated director involved with the Community Wealth model through associated organizations for developing affordable homes across Ontario since 2012.
Monica
Vice President
Monica Kahindo is a board member of Community Wealth, representing Home Opportunities. She has an 18-year career in Canada's non-profit sector, where she has led successful fundraising campaigns in the social sector, health sector and currently in global health for an philanthropic impact investment fund. She's deeply passionate about home ownership and the wealth creation it brings to families for generations.
Ross McCulloch
Secretary
Ross has been a dedicated board member of Community Wealth and other associated entities since 2016. He has years of experience in many industries including telecommunications, software development, transportation, hospitality and manufacturing. Held positions in Finance, Human Resources, Sales and Business Development.
Mike Labbé
Director
Michel (Mike) Labbé, has been involved in the production of affordable housing for 45 years. Mike founded Options for Homes to focus on ownership and developed 6,500 affordable homes for mixed income individuals and families across Canada. In 2015, Mike shifted his focus to Options International to implement the model globally - reaching over 22 countries. He now dedicates his time to building even more affordable units through a new model at Home Opportunities using his knowledge built over the years. This model further refines his work on affordable homeownership, serving households with incomes as low as $35,000.
